Project coordination

Renovating a home in Spain should feel like the beginning of a new chapter, not an obstacle course of paperwork, language barriers and endless site visits.

With Cuentacuentos, the process becomes clear, structured and personal. We guide foreign buyers step by step, translating not only language, but also expectations, taste and vision into a tangible result.

Step 1. Getting to Know the House and Your Plans

We start with an introductory visit to the property. This is where we listen carefully and map out your ambitions.
We discuss:

  • Which rooms require renovation

  • Your available renovation budget

  • The style you feel drawn to

  • The timing. When would you like the works to begin

After this meeting, you prepare:

  • A simple list of what you would like to renovate

  • A selection of images that reflect the atmosphere and style you love

These elements form the creative foundation of the project.

Step 2. Concept and Design Proposal

Based on your input, we develop a detailed presentation.
For each room, we propose:

  • Possible renovation interventions

  • Improved layout options

  • Integrated building plans. If no plans are available, we measure the spaces ourselves

  • Suggestions for materials and finishes

If desired, we also provide curated furniture proposals. You receive a clear overview with store addresses and website links, so you can easily purchase the selected pieces.
This first presentation is reviewed together and refined in close collaboration. We adjust, fine tune and clarify until the design is fully approved and aligned with your expectations.

Step 3. Budgeting and Contractor Coordination

Once the design is approved, we brief our trusted local contractors and request detailed quotations.
We also accompany you to local suppliers to select:

  • Wall and floor tiles

  • Sanitary fittings

  • Taps and fixtures

  • Other key building materials

When the budget is validated and the project is confirmed, we schedule the works and prepare for execution.

Step 4. Execution and Full Follow Up

During the renovation, we are your eyes and ears on site.
We:

  • Visit the site daily

  • Coordinate and brief contractors

  • Continuously monitor and adjust the works when needed

  • Take photos at every stage so you can follow the progress with peace of mind

At the end of the renovation:

  • The entire site is cleaned thoroughly

  • Ordered furniture can be collected and installed by us in your home

A Stress Free Renovation in Spain

Renovating abroad comes with extra challenges. Different language. Different building culture. Different processes.
With Cuentacuentos, you communicate with us in your own language. We speak Spanish fluently and translate your wishes accurately to local contractors, who typically work exclusively in Spanish.
In short, your renovation becomes a smooth and worry free journey. We ensure professional follow up, clear communication and careful execution, so you can focus on the exciting part: seeing your Spanish home come to life.
